“No officer, I did not do it! I was trying to cut a thread in his blazer, and he was tipsy… and he just fell towards me, on the scissors! I swear, officer, I did not do it!”
You think she did it or is she telling the truth?

The bunny is back but this time he is only making fun and mocking our favorite movies of all time, this a satirical take on what the bunny would do in each film.
In part 1: Star Wars, Spiderman, Donnie Darko, Where the wild things are and The matrix.
Keep an eye on this series and do suggest your own favorite situations where we can mock a good film together.

Long live and suck it.
Says the bunny.

Sometimes the work flow is best at dawn, and this is what happened with this sketch where I just felt the need to create something at 5 am! sketching, inking then scanning and digitally painting: the fool lady came up!

Lady Lemon / Lady Cherry

This is what happens after few cups of Mocha on a nice Wednesday Summer Afternoon; Lady Lemon and Lady Cherry came to life using nothing but pencil and my beloved big black sketch book.
I am just wondering if there will ever be time in Jordan when someone can just sit somewhere and draw without people staring at him, or standing above your shoulder or peeking from the glass next where you are sitting, it is not annoying if you just ignore them, but still, When someone does what he likes and he is deeply immersed into it he should just be left alone, no?

Lady Lemon and Lady Cherry are mythical and Mystical at the same time, seasonal, with a back story of love and loss.
What do you think happened to both ladies? what is that story?

Sharpen your creativity

This morning I thought “What is my good idea today?”, you know, away from thinking endlessly about schedules, friends, family matters, credit cards, replying to emails, paying bills and what not, it just needs a little pause every now and then to stop and smell the freshness of the sharpened pencils on white stock paper.
But come to think about it, it might be a hard thing to do! “Draw me!” “When will draw me?” “You always promised to draw me!” and the whole thing I always hear about “draw me” subject, my take on that subject is that I do not believe in divine intervention in terms of creative input, you do not just see the light and then you start making the best thing ever, it needs planning and lots of motivation as well, and then, creativity is not a faucet that you can just open it up whenever you want, it is like the art of slow cooking, you need to be psyched up and in harmony with your feelings, and that is what creativity is.

Creativity is not just being able to draw, sing, dance or do some theatrical tricks that few people can do; Creativity is far bigger yet simpler than that!
It is as I said, being ONE with what you feel when you feel it and try to describe how you feel in your own way. I’ve seen lots of Sales and Marketing people going up in their careers because they resorted to their creativity instead of just doing the regular things everyday, it is about finding new ways, developing new methods of looking at things, and it does not necessarily mean that you have to “compete” or “be ahead” (unless you work in Advertising where every thing you do is a battle, life is a war and everyone you know is a suspicious traitor!) but aside from that, people just need to relax about the term itself: creativity, and stop assigning it with “elite” people who go around in thick glasses or long hair. My mother is a very creative person (and she does not have the thick glasses nor the hippie looks) she just tries to make the best out of the least, tries to innovate in her recipes every now and then and she always looks for a good mental stimulus (Aka. Nintendo DS!).

Generally speaking; people need to chill! and not only in Jordan (although we BADLY need to chill) but everywhere else…
You can never get down to your deep reserve of your creative thoughts while you are stressed. The way Calvin (from Calvin and Hobbes) “Last minute panic” drives creative output! which basically is an apparent parody to what usually happens when people just sit and “wait” for creativity to “happen”.
The concept of creativity-happening is a good one: it does not fly around and lands on certain people and misses the others intentionally. It is a reserve inside of your mind: all the books, films, music, cartoons, people, events …etc. everything that you picked up while growing up. Imagine this; you opened a drawer (in your mind) and found various photos; some you relate to and others not very much, and then you just had the urge to put these photos together to make sense, now creativity surfaces! and creativity here refers to the trial and error childhood experience with our surrounding: to learn about letter A you needed to associate the letter with objects and sounds so it makes a “mental” reference that can pulled out later on (not with magic tricks) to have a meaningful description for something. If someone taught you when you were a kid that the letter A looks like “B” and it sounds like T in Table then you would have that reference to apply to your understanding of what’s going on (Jolly! my name would be like Bhmbd and it would sound like “Thmtd”, fun!).

All in all, just, have fun! do not take life too seriously, apparently the ones who did take it too seriously died too soon, they may have achieved good things in their lives but then did they have fun? the secret to opening the well of creativity and digging even deeper is by being a living scanner of everything, do not be picky! just let your brain scan whatever is around, let it process all the colors, smells and sounds, even trick it sometimes! (I like doing that to mine) switch routes, talk to strangers, take OJ instead of coffee, play guitar hero on an expert level or anything that you can do to trick your mind! the more you play those little tricks on your mind you will notice that you are getting closer and getting an easier access to the “well of creativity”, you know why? well, as I said, your mind is accustomed to a certain set of references saved in the your memory cache to help you with understanding the world properly, if you do something that does not have an earlier reference (learn Japanese for a day!) your brain will “panic” thinking that there is no possible reference for that so you either open the “well” and start creating a reference or you just “let go”, so believe me, it is your choice at the end of the day: will you dig deeper or will you simply let go?
